A Little About Portland Doula Collaborative.....

Portland Doula Collaborative is the shared vision of Mary Latendresse, Alison VanDerburgh, and Jennifer Merriman, all doulas, and the personal dream of Mary.  All three women come from different healthcare backgrounds and all met at a DONA labor doula training, forged great personal and professonal bonds, and the rest is history!  Portland Doula Collaborative was born.  The collaborative is made up of individual doulas who all understand the importance of nonjudgmental support for families throughout their birthing experience.  We are separate business entities with over 200 births between the doulas currently practicing here.  Our interviews are FREE and we look forward to meeting with you to learn more about your journey and goals for the future.

Brittani is a labor and delivery doula, as well as a practicing Chiropractor in Westbrook Maine.  A New Jersey native, Brittani moved to Portland, Maine with her fiancé in the spring of 2016, and hasn't looked back since. Brittani grew up as your traditional "chiropractic baby" who's parents birthed 4 out of 5 of their children at home with a Midwife and Doula.  She has witnessed her siblings births from a young age and fell in love with the process ever since.  She learned early on that she wanted to pursue a profession that would allow her to help others improve their physical health and get them back to doing the things they love, as well as empower and educate mothers on the beauty of birth.

Aside from helping others, you can find Brittani snowboarding, hiking, fishing, or anything outdoors.  She loves to stay active and frequently participates in Crossfit and yoga classes.
